Yesterday I found myself trying to put into words
This void
But I was exactly that
Void of the words that was left from a passion unrehearsed
And ain’t nothing worse than how it flirts with my emotions giving me incomplete notions
See I started off strong but procedurally my thoughts committed suicide
Pretty soon I wanted to quit entirely
I wanted to retire this fire burning for a higher sense of clarity
Then so too this world will be void of a higher me
Now I can stand here and tell you that it’s humanity to blame
But I’d rather stand unashamed and tell you the truth
See it is my tendency to not attend to my weaknesses that defeats me
Now that’s straightforward and it is cliche
But the basis of this basic solution eludes many each and everyday
But I like to consider myself like Neo from the Matrix
Because it seems like I’m the only one privy to this insanity we practice
Mimicking the past but expecting ... Mimicking the past but expecting ...
Mimicking the past ... but expecting a future
Hoping and praying that magically situations change
And I guess we pray because we’re no longer in to wishing
But intuition tells me we’re stuck
Truthfully speaking ... do you think prayer is enough
What I’ve heard is that without works it’s void
So take action I’ll suggest
Hoping my words manifest because they have so much creative power
I’m trying to wake you up from this matrix you’ve been convinced is reality
And from what I’ve seen it may trick some of you but I’m here steady losing my sanity
You silly rabbits!
You didn’t know trix were for kids?
Grow up!
I’m sorry to have to break it to you but you first have to die to truly LIVE!
I’m trying to help you open up the blinds to enlightenment
cause in light we were meant to dwell
And once you’re there it’s swell
Please believe me it’s swell
